RESORT AMENITIES

Yes, there is a Concierge Desk in the Resort lobby and a Concierge is assigned to arriving guests to assist them with resort information, restaurant and golf reservations, and anything that they may need during their stay.

Grand Residences Riviera Cancun has a Kids Club offering supervised activities for children ages four to 12. There is also a Teens Club for older children. Both are open daily.

The resort offers daily activities for adults, teens and children.
The program for adults includes morning yoga, aqua fitness and other keep fit sessions, dance classes, Spanish lessons, pool games, beach volleyball, quizzes, bingo, mixology and cooking classes with the chef (reservations required) and more.
Teens activities include beach volleyball and soccer, t-shirt painting and video games.
The Kids Club activity program ranges from pool and beach games to crafts, movies and the popular piñata party on Friday. You can check the Grand Residences activity programs on the Royal Resorts app, tune into Apple TV or visit the Activity Center and Kids Club upon arrival at the resort.

Grand Residences Riviera Cancun offers tennis courts with synthetic turf and floodlights for evening play. There are tennis rackets and balls available for loan from the Sports Desk. Tennis classes, clinics and matches with the tennis pro may also be arranged at the Sports Desk for an additional charge.
Guests may sign out bikes and safety gear from the Sports Desk. There is a popular guided bike ride into Puerto Morelos on Wednesday morning. Reservations are required.
If you would like to go snorkeling or diving on the coral reefs in the Puerto Morelos National Park, the on-site travel agency can help you organize a trip.

Grand Residences Riviera Cancun has an infinity pool and a lap pool and a kiddie pool. There are also large whirlpool tubs on the pool deck.
Pool hours are from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

The pools are heated during the winter, from November to April. When the thermostat registers that the water temperature has fallen below 28˚C, the heating system will automatically turn on. It is turned off when the water temperature returns to 28˚C.

There is a 24-hour fitness center at the resort.

The Grand Residences Spa offers massages, facials, body wraps and a beauty salon for hair, makeup, manicures and pedicures.

Open daily, the Gourmet Food Market stocks a selection of deli items, snacks, fresh bread, pastries, fruit, vegetables, groceries, soft drinks and beer, wine and liquors. The store also offers sun care products, souvenirs and a drugstore counter and convenient services such as electric scooter rentals and flower orders.

Use the Gourmet Food Market online shopping service to order groceries, fresh fruit, deli, snacks and drinks before you travel and your purchases will be waiting for you when you arrive. The Kitchen Starter Kit is easy to use, there's a wide selection to choose from and if you don't find what you are looking for you can contact grocerystores@royalresorts.com for assistance.
There's free villa delivery from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for purchases over US$30 in value.

There are two restaurants at Grand Residences, El Faro Grill serving International and Mediterranean cuisine and Flor de Canela for traditional Mexican dishes. Additionally, Heaven Beach Bar and Grill is the place for casual seafood lunches and spectacular views of the shoreline.
The resort has a lobby bar and café, pool bar and 24-hour Room Service.

Reservations are required for dinner at El Faro Grill and Flor de Canela and for theme nights at the resort.
If you decide to visit one of the other Royal Resorts during your stay, reservations are also required for Kinoko and Los Murales at The Royal Haciendas, Club Bistro, Hacienda Sisal and Gran Salon Hacienda Sisal at The Royal Sands and La Trattoria at The Royal Cancun. Ask your Concierge for assistance with restaurant reservations.
A No Show charge of $500 pesos applies for reservations that are not used and when the owner/member fails to notify the Concierge that he/she wishes to cancel the reservation.
If you would like to visit the other Royal Resorts during your stay, take a debit or credit card with you to pay for meals, drinks and other purchases.

The dress code is casual elegant.

In addition to a la carte menus at the resort restaurants, there are theme night buffets such as Italian Night, Taco Tuesday, Seafood Night and French Night, a BBQ and even a Beach Bonfire during the week, with something different for everyone in the family.
Other culinary experiences during the week include a Jazz and Martini Night, Afternoon Tea, Tequila Tasting, Wine Tasting, Cooking and Mixology classes. Reservations are required.

The resort restaurant menus include dishes suitable for vegetarian and vegan guests. Upon arrival at the restaurant, please let your waiter know about your needs.

You can send an email to restaurants@royalresorts.com specifying the name of the guest, name of the resort, stay dates and giving details about the food allergy, and the information will be sent to the Grand Residences Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager.
Our kitchen staff are trained to cater for guests with special dietary needs due to food allergies.

The travel agency at the resort is open daily and the staff will help guests with day trip reservations whenever they want to explore the Mexican Caribbean and Yucatan.
There is a world of historical and natural attractions to explore. Options include snorkeling and scuba trips to coral reefs in the Puerto Morelos National Park, cenotes and ziplining in jungle parks along the Ruta de los Cenotes, visits to Maya archaeological sites such as Tulum, Coba and Chichen Itza, nature parks in the Riviera Maya, biosphere reserves, the colonial city of Merida, catamaran cruises, and more.
Private tours, fishing and yacht charters can also be arranged.

It is company policy that at least 80 percent of the wedding guests must be staying at the resort in order to host the wedding there. All services requested by the couple for the wedding ceremony or reception will be supplied by Grand Residences Riviera Cancun, external suppliers are not permitted.

Grand Residences Riviera Cancun members and guests have preferential rates to play golf at the following championship courses in Cancun and Riviera Maya: Puerto Cancun, El Camaleon Mayakoba and Gran Coyote. There is also a weekly Royal Day golf tournament at Puerto Cancun and El Camaleon Mayakoba. Ask your Concierge for more information about green fees at these courses, the golf tournaments and for help with reservations.

Yes, you can drink the water at Grand Residences Riviera Cancun straight from the tap. It is purified to US standards using the reverse osmosis system. Outside the resort, however, we recommend that you drink bottled water. If you are going to be in the sun all day on a trip to one of the archaeological sites or nature parks, make sure you drink plenty of water.

There is Wi-Fi service in the rooms and suites and in all guest areas at Grand Residences Riviera Cancun.

A housekeeper will clean your suite every day and there is evening turndown service.

At Grand Residences Riviera Cancun, the one-bedroom master suites and two-bedroom and larger suites are equipped with their own laundry room with a washing machine and dryer.
Laundry, ironing and dry cleaning services are also available on request (additional charges apply).

You can use the Royal Resorts App to request a crib, or high chair for your villa or send an email to your Concierge with your name, stay dates, villa number and the item you wish to request.

Babysitting can be arranged by calling the Operator on ext. 0 for information on the service and reservations 24 hours in advance.
Grand Residences is not responsible for the babysitting service.

Pets are not permitted at Grand Residences Riviera Cancun.

Certified service dogs are welcome at the resort with prior notification at least five days before arrival, sending the current official documents that prove that the animal is a certified service dog (ADA or ADI) and a bill of good health issued by a vet for review and authorization. You can read the complete Service Dog policy in the Resort Regulations guide for the resort.
Emotional support or anxiety control animals are not permitted as they are not considered service dogs.

By law, smoking and vaping is prohibited in villas and rooms, on the terrace, and on resort premises. Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas. Information on these locations is available at the Front Desk.
Outside the resorts, smoking is prohibited in public spaces, restaurants, bars, event spaces, shopping centers, public transport, beaches and parks, among others. Smokers must use smoking areas indicated with signs.

The resort offers self-parking and valet parking.

Waiters generally receive 15% and sky caps and bell-boys $2 US per bag. The suggested daily tip for the maid who cleans your villa at Grand Residences Riviera Cancun is $3 US for the suite and $2US for the room or $5 US or the equivalent in Mexican pesos when the villa is fully occupied. If you would like to reward outstanding service, you can leave more.

Call the bellboys for assistance 15 minutes before you would like the service. Check with them or the Concierge for a list of taxi fares from the resort to Cancun Airport and destinations such as Cancun and Playa del Carmen.
Bear in mind that the fares charged for stationary taxis parked at the taxi rank at the resort or outside shopping centers or supermarkets will be higher than taxis that you flag down in the street. It is always a good idea to check the fare before getting into the taxi.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The official language in Mexico is Spanish, although English is widely spoken, especially in resort areas. Some tour guides and resort staff also speak French, Italian, German and Portuguese. Maya is the native tongue in the Yucatan Peninsula and is still spoken in rural communities throughout the Yucatan. The service staff at our resort speak Spanish and English.

The Mexican Caribbean enjoys over 300 days of sunshine during the year and the climate is hot and humid. Temperatures in January hit an average high of 27˚C/81˚F and a low of 19 ˚C/66˚C. Summer temperatures are higher and with 80% humidity, it feels even hotter. July and August are the warmest months with an average high of 32˚C/90˚F and nighttime lows of 26˚C/78˚F registered for July. The rainy season runs from June to October and rainfall usually takes the form of short, heavy showers and thunderstorms. Tropical weather systems forming in the Caribbean may occasionally bring longer periods of rain and wind. Winter rainfall and lower temperatures are brought by nortes or northerly winds blowing in from the Gulf of Mexico. They usually last for two to three days.

We recommend that you bring cool, light colored cotton clothing and a pair of comfortable shoes if you are planning to explore the area's archaeological sites . You will need trousers and long - sleeved shirts for jungle treks . Pack a light jacket or sweater or a shawl for the evenings, especially in the winter . A hat, sunglasses and plenty of eco - friendly sun block are indispensable .
